Voice2Text is built privacy-first. This page explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. This is a concept/MVP draft policy — finalize with legal review before public launch.

We collect the minimum needed to run a waitlist and improve the product. Your audio is never sold, and our recommended setup keeps audio on your own servers or device — it doesn't pass through a shared third-party key. Any API keys you add (BYOK) are encrypted and never shared.

Recommended mode: audio is transcribed on your own server or on-device (Vosk/Moonshine). It never leaves your control.
If you add a Groq/Hugging Face key, it's stored encrypted and used only for your requests — never shared with other users.
If you opt into a cloud model, that provider processes your audio under their policy. We tell you before using one.
We use a small set of providers to run the waitlist and site:
We don't use advertising or tracking cookies. The site uses your browser's localStorage to remember your votes and comments in demo mode. You can clear it any time from your browser settings.
Waitlist data is kept until launch or until you ask us to delete it. Transcripts you create are kept only where you save them (your device/account); we don't retain raw audio after transcription unless you explicitly save it.
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data (e.g. GDPR). Email us and we'll action it. You can leave the waitlist at any time.
